ALBERT
Albert is about 3 years old, 65 pounds, dog & cat friendly & is currently completing basic training & behavior modification
After leaving AHS - Newark in November & recovering from his eye being removed.. Albert began to demonstrate some fear based behavior when out in the real world
It’s scary for some dogs to leave the shelter environment & find their way without any tools of how to become confident & feel safe.
Albert has been in foster for several weeks now & is thriving
With the amazing help of his foster & his trainer CTO dog training - Albert has been learning confidence with daily training sessions
He knows, sit, down, place, is crate trained, learning recall & so eager to please
Albert needs a strong handler & an adopter that can lead him successfully with boundaries, structure & continued training.
Albert needs a home that can provide consistency & constant guidance.
He is so loving & would make a great companion.

Surrendered to the AHS- Newark shelter at 14 years old due to his “owner” stating that he took to long to go tot he bathroom outside during the cold winter months.
Scared & confused we pulled this amazing boy into our care only to find out he had a UTI, skin infection, decayed teeth, a mass that needed a biopsy & needed a neuter.
After several weeks of medications, testing & surgery… Papa is ready to find his forever home where he can enjoy his golden years in light & love!
His biopsy came back benign, his skin is healing beautifully & he quite honestly the most perfect dog.
Carefree, loving, eager to please, loves his snacks, dog & cat friendly & loves people.
