NORM

We pulled Norm in July from the AHS- Newark shelter after being found tied to a tree.

We have never seen such abuse & pure neglect like what Norm endured.

Norm truly was left to die, however with all the support we have received from our #teamnorm family, we were able to get him the proper medical care.

After two months of vet visits, medications & tests, we now have a clear view of what Norm needs to live his golden years in pure happiness.

We have found out that Norm does have a low grade heart murmur due to a smaller valve going into his heart. He does not need any heart medications but does need a follow up echocardiogram every six months.

Unfortunately we have determined Norm does have severe kidney disease & will need daily medication & prescription food moving foreword so his kidneys do not go into failure.

With that being said, Norm’s kidneys are to damaged to undergo any surgery what so ever.

So at this time, we cannot get Norm neutered or schedule his eye surgeries for his cherry eye & removal of his trauma eye which has left him blind in that eye.

We know Norm is a “special needs” case & he needs a very special adopter.

Norm is nothing but pure joy & has taught each person he has met in our rescue what love truly is.

He is thriving in his foster home & with his five foster dog siblings.

He is a happy, silly, affectionate, smart, love bug who would make any home a better place.

Coming from such a horrible past, we are amazed on how loving he is.

He has a little happy trot to him, the cutest bully snore & just wants belly rubs & lap time.

Norm should be the only pet in the home.

SADIE

Sadie came to us by a last minute plea from a high risk shelter. She was in danger & very close to being put down.

After hearing her story… we just could not let this baby die.

Her journey is unfortunately familiar to anyone who follows any rescue…

Used & abused for breeding by an irresponsible “owner” who after animal control was called on him due to the poor “living” conditions she was “housed” in… he dumped her on the streets

Sadie has had a really sad & despicable five years of life but is happy & safe now with her foster.

Sadie has been to our rescue vet & received a full medical check up & did great!!

She did have a severe bacterial skin infection that has been managed with meds & medicated shampoos… she is doing great!

Sadie is another dog that just needs to be loved & given a chance at a real home with people who will care & love her.

Sadie is 5 years old, 45 pounds, fully vaccinated & spayed.

She LOVES her humans & does well with other dogs. She may be a bit shy at first but did really well during our dog testing.

MILO

Milo came to us from an overcrowded shelter where he was an urgent plea for us to help save his life

Milo came into the shelter with another dog & would do best with another four legged buddy he can romp & play with.

Milo is one year old, fully vetted, neutered & 65 pounds of perfection

Milo is just goofy & goes with the flow… he is pure joy!

He is actually being fostered& with another rescue dog in our care (Sadie).

He does like to be around his people & does gain confidence with another dog.. so we do think that if you are looking for your dog to have a brother, Milo is your guy!

Milo is a smart boy who knows basic commands & is eager to please

Milo would do great in active home where he can play during the day & watch some Netflix on the couch at night.

Milo is one of our favorite boys & can’t wait to find him his forever family

MICKEY

Our super sweet Mickey is our newest pup in our rescue

Mickey has the same story as many of our rescues do

Found as a stay & brought to an overcrowded shelter.

This boy was a staff favorite, a dog tester at the shelter & even co-housed with other dogs.

Micky was saved because a first-time foster reached out to us after seeing our plea to pull Mickey into our care

It’s truly that simple.. we can only help these dogs & literally save their lives if we have fosters who are willing to open up their homes to these babies

Well, Micky truly was SAVED... he is being fostered by the best family & is decompressing & enjoying life out of the shelter

Micky is 2 years old, 50 pounds, crate trained, house broken & quite honestly.. perfect

He is being fostered in a home with another dog, three cats & two teenage kids.

His foster Mom says he listens beautifully, is eager to please, takes direction wonderfully & is a total love

He likes to romp in the yard, take long walks & then cozy up on the couch with a good movie

Mickey needs a better leash skills but we are working on that & he is making strides.

Mickey is vetted, vaccinated, neutered & ready to loved by his forever family

NALA

Please welcome sweet baby girl Nala.

Nala comes to us with an all to familiar story.

Back in January, she was found tied to a tree in Newark-

frost bitten, scared & starving to death.

As soon as we heard her story we had to step up & help this girl back to life.

Nala has been gaining confidence & strength with our dear friend & foster.

One year old Nala has been making strides in her foster home & is crate trained & house broken.

Due to her past neglect, Nala is a little shy when you first meet her. She is a pup that needs a patient adopter who will take their time with her & allow her to gain trust & confidence.

Once she does… she is such a love bug!!

She is currently being fostered with another dog & would do well in a home with or without a fur friend.
